Step 1: Prepare Your Google Sheet

  • Row 1: Column titles (e.g., Student Name, Math Score).
  • Rows below: One row per entry.

Step 2: Set Up Your Google Doc Template

  • Design your document in Google Docs (logos, fonts, tables, colors, etc.).
  • Insert placeholders using the exact column headers wrapped in double angle brackets:
    • <<Math Score>>, <<Student Name>>
  • ⚠️ Placeholders are case-sensitive.

Step 3: Run a Generation Batch

  1. Open the Doc-Merger app in your browser.
  2. Paste your Google Sheet URL into the first field.
  3. Paste your Google Doc Template URL into the second field.

Step 4: Authorize and Execute

  • Click Sign in & Execute Generation.
  • Grant Google OAuth permissions when prompted.
  • Watch the status box for real-time progress.
  • When done, click Open Output Folder to access your generated documents.

Doc Merger runs entirely in your browser. Your data is never sent to third-party servers — everything stays within your Google account.
